Perilous Seas Down Below

Perilous and sufix go waaaaaaaay back. So when it came time to stand and be counted (and seen) doing a good deed, these guys couldn't wait for everyone else to get off the stage.

I have to say . . . it's too bad these guys didn't round up pledges for endurance rocking - sufix played twice as many songs, and yet their set was half as long - had the attendees paid a dollar per minute of Perlious Seas play time, three times the cash would've been raised.

The next benefit show with sufix and Perilous Seas (say, for the SPCAs next "Two Headed Dog Awareness" event) should be a Marathon Rock-Off.

At any rate, we've recycled a previous Perilous Seas posting, as well as the song. To see the latest rendition, scroll down, or click below (redirects to January '07 archive page) -

Ralnyk

This guy showed up at our charity rock ball, climbed onto the empty stage between sets, and started bangin' on a guitar. We thought he was one of the youths the show was meant to benefit. Said something about sleeping on YES couches all the time. After he sang, though, we thought he'd gotten lost going to a protest rally. Damn hippies!!

Ralnyk

Honestly, though, our man James saved the day when one of the bands bailed, and he signed on at the last minute. And a brave man, indeed, bringing his acoustic guitar to a metal show. I wonder if he's man enough to play this song at our "Save Our War" concert, this coming Christmas?*

*No such concert actually exists!

Check Out Shadowblade

Who was it anyway, that said that metal music was bad for our youths? What a bunch of shit! Just look at these fine, Edmonton lads, fighting for youth emergency. Let it never be said that metal was never a force for GOOD. And may Shadowblade always rock and fight with their awesome metal!!

A Rock Concert For Homeless Youths!

Wanting to "give something back" to their community, and being the great philanthropists that they are, sufix decided to hold a mini-rock-off-benefit-show for the local chapter of the Youth Emergency Shelter Society, last Sunday. With five local acts in the line-up, great fun was had by all who attended. They may even have raised some actual cash, depending on how many were on the guest list.

sufix - Half of Your Life

I picked a good song to post - "A shorty but a goodie." Come back over the following week to catch some more vids of sufix's metal pals screaming and thrashing against homeless youths.

New Instrumental Song

I followed sufix to the Rendezvous a little bit ago, hoping to catch 'em doing something shocking, or amazing, or awe-inspiring . . .

Maybe you'll like these other guys, instead.

Hello again. Last Saturday night, sufix played at their standard venue, The Rendezvous Pub, once more. A good show, with lots of praise to follow the set.

Only one person screamed repeatedly, "You Suck!"

I've thrown together a video to another of sufix's newer tunes. The sound isn't as good as previous posts, but it's adequate. Just click on the image below.
